The Support Circles approach helps young people build strong, lasting connections with family, community, and culture. It recognises that young people thrive when surrounded by people who know them, care for them, and walk beside them as they grow. This module supports you to guide young people in mapping their networks, reconnecting with their roots, and developing the confidence to seek help from both cultural and mainstream services.
Through trauma-informed, culturally respectful practice, you’ll learn to support healing, identity, and belonging. Every interaction becomes a chance to expand a young person’s support circle and strengthen their future. As a provider, your role is to embed this approach across all services—creating space for connection, reflecting on how support networks can be activated, and fostering a culture that values lived experience, safe boundaries, and collaborative care.
